Why Gautam Buddha is Vidyacaranasampanna?

Note: Sorry for the errors in spelling.

We also pay homage to Gautam Buddha with chants 'Iti pi so Bhagavâ-Araham Sammâ-sambuddho'. Buddha was also knows as Vidyacaranasampanna because he had these 8 kinds of knowledge;-

  1. Vidasayana - Observing impermanence inside our body and mind.
  2. Manomayaidthiyana - Making someone understand impermanence through Darshan.
  3. Idivijjayana - Seeing the future.
  4. Dipyasotvijayyasana -  Hearing every kind of sound in the universe and beyond.
  5. Parachitvijayana - Knowing what's emotions and thoughts are present inside the heart.
  6. Kubenivasanusatiyana - Awareness about past lives.
  7. Chatupapatayana - Knowing about when something may take place.
  8. Asavakhyayana - Knowledge about suffering.

1. Vidasayana - Vi means special and Dasana means to observe. Buddha observed the truth of impermanence in every part of his body by observing the rise and fall of the sensations. This truth of impermanence which was inside the body is applicable to the outer world too. Everything that has a birth will die eventually.

2. Manomayaidthiyana - Once there was a queen name Khema. She had pride in her beauty and didn't want to see Buddha but it so happened one day she came to visit Buddha and saw a beautiful young lady fanning Buddha next to him. Slowing the lady grew old and die. This whole scenario was only visible to her.

Gautam Buddha had made this possible for her to understand that there is no good in having pride over something that is going to fade away.

3. Idivijjayana - Buddha had the knowledge of future happenings. He could guess when it may rain, how something has occurred and why did it occurred the way it did.

4. Dipyasotvijayyasana - He could hear the noise which are beyond a certain decibel that humans can't hear. He could hear sounds within the universe and also beyond the universe.

5. Parachitvijayana - Buddha could easily sense the thoughts and emotional turmoil in someone's heart and mind.

6. Kubenivasanusatiyana - Buddha before being enlightened saw his past lives and was aware of his previous karmas and births.

7. Chatupapatayana - He had knowledge about the 4 occurrence in everyone's life which is
  1. Birth
  2. Sickness
  3. Old age
  4. Death
Every human who has taken birth will have to go through this cycle. Buddha knew when someone might die, if someone will reach enlightment in this life or not, etc.

8. Asavakhyayana - Asa means garbage, Vakh means rise and fall. In this way the following 10 types of asavakh rise and fall and bring pain in our life.
  • Greed (raga)
  • Delusion (Moha)
  • Anger
  • Dogma
  • Skepticism on 3 Jewels that is Buddha, Sangha and Dhamma
  • Ego
  • Laziness
  • Restlessness
  • Shame while doing wrong - While doing a wrong act a person doesn't feel shame is also impurity.
  • Fear of wrong doing -  Absence of fear while doing something wrong is also impurity.
